To all Members/Parents/Guardians & Community Members,

COVID GUIDELINES – Please read carefully
Below are the set of guidelines and conditions set by the Government, Council and Bankstown Basketball to ensure a safe return to our Junior Competition.

These conditions include the requirement for patrons 16 and over to be double vaccinated, or medically exempt, to enter the stadium. The current NSW Government Roadmap for easing COVID-19 restrictions indicates unvaccinated patrons will be permitted to enter Bankstown Basketball venues from Wednesday, 15st of December.

Please take the time to read and forward on all information to your teams and parents/players.
We require everyone to be patient and understanding of the guidelines that we have put in place and ask that you always respect the staff.
We ask that you please be mindful in terms of your well-being. If you feel un-well or have been in contact with a COVID-19 case, please do not attend our stadium.
It is going to take time to get everyone checked in, so please ensure you allow extra time to park and organise your three access requirements:

  • QR Check-in.
  • Proof of double vaccination for everyone aged 16 years and above.
  • Put on your mask if you are 12 years and above to enter the venue. Participants can remove the mask while engaged in on-court activity. Masks to be worn once on-court activity is complete.

There will be security and staff members situated at the entrance point of the stadium. You will be required to show these members proof of QR Check-in and proof of double vaccination prior to entering the stadium.

  1. All to enter via the Front Door and exit via the exit door on Court 1 (Lair end).
  1. There will be sanitiser at the front door (please use this on entrance to the stadium).
  1. All participants aged 12 years and above must be wearing a mask when inside the stadium. Players can only remove their mask while engaged in on-court activity.
  1. For all Junior Competitions there will be stations set up outside the main entrance (on the soccer filed) - (Court 1, Court 2, Court 3 etc). Teams will be required to line up at their allocated court location and will be let in accordingly.
  1. Players will be let into the stadium first. Players aged 16 years and above will be required to show proof of Double Vaccination (Please have this ready on your phone). Once all players have been let through, we will then allow the 1 x coach per team followed by the 1 x parent per player to enter. Coaches and spectators will be required to show proof of QR Check-in and proof of Double Vaccination.
  1. IF A PLAYER IS UNDER THE AGE OF 18, THEY ARE PERMITTED TO BRING ONE SPECTATOR. This spectator will be marked off against the child’s name on the scoresheet.

PLEASE NOTE THIS SPECTATOR MUST BE OVER THE AGE OF 16 AND DOUBLE VACCINATED - NO ADDITIONAL SPECTATORS WILL BE PERMITTED. NON-PLAYING SIBLINGS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE STADIUM.

  1. Maintain social distance of 1.5m whilst not engaged in on-court activity.
  1. All patrons will be required to leave promptly after their game. We ask for any end of game team discussion to please occur on the soccer oval. Please do not do this on court, at the exit door or in the car park.
  1. Club Registration / Player Registration & ID to be done outside the stadium. Lisa and the clubs needing a table will be set up outside the Stadium. If your club also has a table set up upstairs in the Lair they will notify you of this.
  1. The canteen will be open for players and spectators. Please note that due to players and spectators needing to exit the stadium at the end of their game, the canteen will be closed 5 minutes before the end of each timeslot and will not re-open until all members from the timeslot have vacated. Spectators will need to ensure that they buy any food prior to this closure as we will not be allowing parents/players to wait inside until the canteen re-opens.

Uniforms – Due to COVID, uniforms will not be handed out unless in the instance of a colour clash. Any team yet to organise uniforms are to either wear white or black shirts with their playing number taped or marked on the front and back.

Lastly, to make it easier – add your digital certificate to the Service NSW App. See link below
